   Mena House Hotel

This grand hotel is located in Giza very near to the Pyramids. Winston Churchill stayed here during World War II. President Jimmy Carter also stayed here, and the Egypt-Israel peace treaty was signed here in 1979.

    Memphis - The Alabaster Sphinx

The Alabaster Sphinx was recently found in a nearby swamp. Some what weathered but still very impressive.

To access the Tomb Complex of Pharaoh Zoser, visitors pass through a long galley of columns that were once covered with stone slabs.

Final resting place of Zoser, first Pharaoh of the Old Kingdom. This is the first pyramid that we know of that was constructed for a Pharaoh.
